School Renovation Work Progressing

Renovations to the Soule and Fisk elementary schools are progressing, and foundations could be laid as soon as next month, according to the Salem Observer.

The weekly newspaper said site work is well underway, and crews have already run into one problem. Apparently, ledge was struck at both sites, making the work a bit more difficult. But it isn't expected to cause any significant delays.

The $17 million elementary school renovation project includes renovations to the Fisk and Soule elementary schools and smaller improvements to the Haigh School.
