Man Gets Up to 14 Years for Burglarizing Salem Company

William Boucher, 27, of Manchester, has been sentenced to four to 14 years in state prison for stealing seven laptop computers from a Salem business before knocking over an Atkinson gas station, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

The paper has reported that Boucher was sentenced in Rockingham Superior Court on Monday after pleading guilty to the burglaries and other charges. Boucher will serve two to four years on both a felony burglary and a felony accomplice to burglary charge, and he will also serve concurrent two to four year sentences on possession of a controlled drug and felon in possession of a firearm charges, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

Boucher also received a suspended sentence of 3 1/2 to seven years on a receiving stolen property charge in connection to the burglaries, according to the paper.

In February 2012, Boucher and three other men broke into Middlesex Corp., a construction on Northwestern Drive in Salem, before they broke into a Sunoco gas station just down the road in Atkinson. They allegedly stole $4,500 worth of cigarettes, cigars and cash from the gas station.

The individuals were arrested in Massachusetts after leading police on a chase.

The drug and firearm charges stem from a different arrest that occurred following a May 2012 traffic stop near the Mall at Rockingham Park.
