Scott Brown May Run for Governor? In Which State?

Brown is scheduled to speak tonight at the Derry-Elks Lodge in Salem.

Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) was abundantly clear to reporters earlier this year: He's not ruling out anything in his political future. He shrugged at a possible run for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire, against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH). And now there are reports he might also consider running for governor – in Massachusetts.

The Huffington Post reports that Brown has said, of a run in the Bay State, "We'll soon find out." The latest political inclinations were first reported by The Boston Herald on Wednesday.

Brown, who owns a second home in Rye, N.H. and has noted his family roots go back nine generations in the Granite State, is scheduled to speak Friday night, Aug. 9, at the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge in Salem.
