A garage fire broke out around 8:15 PM at 21 Senter street. Fire units from Derry, Windham and Methuen were called in to assist Salem firefighters in the 2 alarm fire. Units from Hampstead and Pelham were called in to cover Salem stations.
Neighbors stated that they saw flames shooting out of the top of the garage door when fire units arrived. Parts of Lawrence rd and other streets were closed during firefighting activities.
