Man Who Recorded Woman Under her Home Sentenced to Prison

The Union Leader reported the news today.

The Union Leader has reported that a man who recorded a woman for two days under her trailer has been sentenced to 3 to 6 years in state prison. According to the report, the judge suggested that Christian Hobbs, 44, deserved more time for what he did, but that prosecutors crafted the harshest sentence possible given that the violation of privacy law that Hobbs broke was only a misdemeanor. According to a report on Salem, NH Patch from last August, police said they responded to a Friendship Drive home for a report that the resident had witnessed a male subject, Hobbs, peering up at her from underneath her bathroom floor. Alleged Salem Burglars Indicted on Several Charges

Michael M. McNeill and Jonathan Norris are both being charged with burglary and credit card fraud.

Two alleged Salem burglars connected to several burglaries were indicted this month for one of those incidents that took place in October 2012 on Zion Hill Road. Michael M. McNeill, 31, of 31 Riviera Road in Hudson, N.H. was indicted on charges of two counts conspiracy to fraudulent use of a credit card, burglary (principle/accomplice) and conspiracy to burglary and conspiracy to theft by deception. His alleged accomplice, Jonathan G. Norris, 30, of 1 Ronisa Ave. in Litchfield, N.H., was indicted on charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, burglary (principle/accomplice), conspiracy to burglary, two counts conspiracy to fraudulent use of a credit card, attempted fraudulent use of a credit card, theft by deception and conspiracy to theft…

Man Who Tried to Take Officer's Gun to Strike Plea Deal

Dalton Cyr, 21, will be sentenced on May 28.

A man who kicked a police officer and attempted to take his gun in 2012 has struck a plea agreement, according to the Union Leader. Dalton Cyr, 21, will appear before a judge to plead guilty on May 28. He will be sentenced that same day, according to the report. Terms of the plea deal have not been made public. The incident took place on Nov. 30, 2012 after officers responded to Stonegate Lane to a report of two men fighting in the street. An underage drinking party was underway at the nearby home. While attempting to grab a Salem officer's firearm, Cyr injured the officer's hand. The officer was treated at Parkland Medical Center and later released. Salem Engineer Sentenced to One Year for Pot Operation

The Union Leader reported the news on Friday.

A Salem engineer who conducte a large marijuana growing operation was sentenced last week to one year in county jail, according to the Union Leader. Henry Danico, 47, was arrested on Aug. 7, 2011 and charged with manufacturing of a controlled drug. Danico was caught with 88 marijuana plants inside his home, all in various stages of growth. According to Danico's lawyer, he began growing marijuana due to his mortgage inflating above what he initially owed.

Woman Killed in Salem was Resident of Homeless Shelter

According to the Eagle Tribune, Edith Hamilton was walking home from work.

Salem Police have identified the 44-year-old woman killed by a teenage driver in an accident just after midnight on Sunday, according to a report by the Eagle Tribune. Edith Hamilton, 44, a resident of the Emmaus Shelter in Haverhill, Mass., was walking home from her job at Sears in the Mall at Rockingham Park. She was struck and killed by a pickup truck driven by Richard Canales, 19, of Methuen, Mass, according to the report.
