We’re launching our annual Deck the House Contest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in America – the best “decked” house in the country – the one home so spectacularly decorated that everyone in town jokes your holiday decorations could rival Rockefeller Center’s. If this sounds like your house, upload a photo or video of your home to our contest page from Nov. 26 to Dec. 16. Only residents of Patch towns are eligible to enter. We’ll select 24 regional finalists, and from them, pick one grand prize winner. Patch will pay up to $500 of the utility bill for each finalist, while our national winner will have $100,000 donated to his or her local school district. Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached. Here’s how the contest works. Beginning on Dec. 8 and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site. During that same time period you and your neighbors will also be able to vote for your favorite festive home. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge that will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill. Win Your School $100K with Patch's 'Deck the House' Contest

Coming soon, your chance to win a great prize, including $100,000 for your school plus have Patch pay your electric bill for December.

Starting this week, Patch's first ever "Deck the House" competition will kick off. We will be looking for photo or video submissions here on Salem Patch featuring your decked-out house.  Readers will vote for the best house in their neighborhood, and that home will go on to be pitted against the other "best of" houses across the country. Voting will continue until the end of December. At that time, 24 finalists will be posted across our Patch sites until Jan. 8, when readers will select their top pick for Best Decked House. Those finalists will all have their December electric bills paid by Patch (up to $500). The winner will get $100,000 for their town's schools. So get decorating, and we will let you know when you can post your photos!

Coming soon to a Patch near you: In the spirit of the season, we'll be running a holiday decorations contest titled 'Deck the House.' Salem residents are encouraged to submit photos or videos of their ‘Decked Out’ homes. With one quick click, Patch users will be able to vote on the Best Decked House in their neighborhood, which will represent their town nationally. We'll have more information on the contest in the coming days, including where you can send your submissions. In the meantime, get the lights and decorations going and be ready to send them in!
