I'm definitely going to add a couple of these to my summer reading list! I recently put the KindleRead More app on my tablet. I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I love it!
Anna Bucciarelli April 20, 2014 at 08:15 am
Definitely will add these to my long, long list of "to reads". Maybe I'll live longRead More enough to get to them all. Just finished an oldie but goodie ... but you know? The stories only stay with me for a while, I read so much that I forget what I've already read and after the first few pages, I get into it again and often continue since I liked it the first time around. There will never be enough hours in any day to read all I want to and thank goodness and God for Goodreads and, of course, my library and you, Danielle, for adding to my lists. Was offered a Kindle but know what? I really prefer to hold that book in my lap to read, plus I prefer to use my library ... it's FREE, for goodness sake, why would I pay to read anything but a newspaper? And, even that can be gotten at the library. If nothing else, I just love the smell of a library! (Sorry for my longwinded-ness ... just love, love books.)
Mamie Huggins April 20, 2014 at 08:37 am
Hey Anna - I'm a book lover too and use the library on occasion. But it's not FREE as you say, it'sRead More paid for by us taxpayers. Also, when I buy a book, especially by an unknown and/or local author, I'm helping that person to keep writing.

I will never vote for you again.
Karissa Lewis Rigano April 20, 2014 at 09:39 am
Marilinda- How did you vote on whether or not to expand Medicaid as part of the implementation ofRead More the Affordable Care Act? Oh, thats right..you didn't vote...just like with Casino vote. You shouldn't be sent to Washington if you can't vote in Concord.
H Hughes April 20, 2014 at 10:13 am
Garcia is too busy with her new friends in Washington to vote on important matters that relate toRead More new Hampshire. Not that she ever had many friends. The grape vine says she has lost the few friends she had in her home town. A big disconnect if you ask me.

"Butcher of Benghazi?" Go ahead and make Hillary the victim, Pizza. You only make yourRead More side look as nasty as you.
June April 20, 2014 at 10:50 am
A politician is as good as his/her intelligence sources, just ask George Bush! Hillary was as much aRead More victim in Benghazi as those actually there.

Where does it end? No rights for those that have problems with a church. Too much bias withRead More police departments, city attorney's, ect. People have the misconception that "church members" are honest and tell the truth. But they are NOT!!

Reality. Two thousand years ago the earth was warmer and a thousand years ago it was warmer as well.Read More Thirty year studies are a drop in the bucket compared to Earth total time. Hundreds of scientists disagree with this analysis. If it was the dust bowl years of the 30's these people would be committing suicide.
Joseph D'Aleo April 20, 2014 at 10:41 am
What nonsense. New Hampshire winters have cooled for the last 20 years according to data from NOAARead More NCDC. This March was the second coldest March sine 1895 in NH and ME and coldest ever in buried in snow VT. Our snows have increased with 14 major impact east coast snows this decade just 4 years in beating out the snowy 1960s which had 11. Globally temperatures have not warmed for going on 18 years. It is just a scheme to wrestle more control and tax business (which i the end costs all of us) and gain revenue for the state, federal government. We came within two days of running out of backup oil this winter which would have forced us into rolling brownouts. Energy costs have skyrocketed. We don't need a DES. We need a sane administration in Concord and Washington who really care about the low and middle class who are affected most by their policies not ideologues celebrating Earth Day. How about celebrating people day. As a climatologist who has studied, taught and used climate in business, I can tell you we have started down a path towards serious cooling worse than the 1960s and 1970s. All the plans the DES have for us will kill our state's economy. We are all for a clean environment. But we can do it without you Burack and Barack within our communities.
Steve Furbish April 20, 2014 at 11:32 am
Pollution is a problem that is very real, but this climate change stuff sounds like a lot of hokeyRead More BS to me. It appears designed to allow money to flow to those in power and those who now have built careers studying this phantom issue.

Nice thought Colleen and I would add $8 per month. Unfortunately the debt of one item is not whatRead More happens over the year. It is a compounding of billions of dollars added by every $2 increase. When the fuel industry is showing billions in profit why not figure a way of getting some of that money? How about passing a law to cap increases imposed by gas companies? Seems to me price gouging should be illegal. Of the $3.50 we currently pay per gallon, who gets what?
Patriot April 20, 2014 at 08:30 am
jpf2361, what would have been nice is a plan. We plan on rebuilding X, X, and Y. This bill willRead More sunset on 1/1/15

I'm not against paying a little more, I just pay a toll every day going and coming to work andRead More Merrimack is surrounded unlike any other town. Like jpf2361 said, if its dedicated to fixing roads, especially bridges, it would be worth it. Are they spending that money elsewhere???? We all sound disappointed in the state government.....

It's about FRIGGIN time these retailers are held accountable for the DAMAGES they cause toRead More consumers. I am not talking about the Fed's imposing fines of which we the Consumers don't see a penny of either. Why can't these Companies INVEST IN BETTER TECHNOLOGY TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE? Just saying.

Why is this trending again, when this took place last year, basically.... Between getting hit atRead More Target and Micheal's, I had to change my debit card twice in a very short period of time.

Ok........lots of happy people here. When my children were young we hid eggs in the yard for theirRead More hunt. One dog used to collect them before we went outside and put them on his bed, smelling the candy inside. Kids learned to trade dog treats to get their eggs back. A different kind of egg hunt- and I miss that dog.
Robert L. Cerra April 19, 2014 at 09:58 pm
hey hey hey -Didn't you get the message -dogs have rights too, the Supreme Crt should be rulingRead More on his soon. We need Al Gore to make us a documentary about the new meaning of puppy love then he can sell us dog food instead of energy credits.

People, remember -- There are FOUR subway lines that go into the Downtown Crossing / Back Bay area.Read More You don't HAVE to take the Green Line. The ORANGE line goes to Back Bay Station, and it's pretty centrally located. Also, consider watching the Marathon from a less-populated area, such as Framingham / Newton / Needham. The runner will appreciate it, and so will the security folks.
Heather A. McDonald April 19, 2014 at 09:36 am

If I recall correctly - there was a bill introduced shortly after the Cate's incident where murderRead More in a home invasion would be added to the death penalty list. Sadly, the idiots out there that think they are doing "good" and get a "good feeling inside" when they fight for these despicable sub-humans, got it shot down. Death is inevitable, if life was ever-lasting, I could see the argument but since it isn't, is it really that horrible to take the life of someone who has taken a life themselves? Hmmm? You "liberal" assbags make me ill.
Patriot April 18, 2014 at 03:35 pm
SPH, this is your described troll here.** "Cost aside, while I'm not religious in theRead More conventional sense, I do have a problem with killing someone because they broke our rule of no killing. No one can honestly say " life is cheaper" because no one knows what it will cost toRead More incarcerate someone 50 yrs from now. Especialy when they get on in age and may have health issues.

The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment.
