NH Weekend Planner: Get in the Spirit of the Season

A pet-focused event at the Mall at Rockingham Park is one of the many things to do around the Granite State this weekend.

Saturday 

  • Christmas Fair in Nashua. St. Mark the Evangelist Parish in Nashua hosts its nursery school Christmas Fair at 8 a.m. on Saturday. 
  • Craft Fair in Merrimack. Merrimack High School will be holding its eighth annual winter craft fair at 9 a.m. on Saturday. There will be fun for the entire family and admission is free.
  • Ski & Skate Sale. The Bedford Parent-Teacher Group holds its annual ski and skate sale event at Bedford High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. If you have items to drop off, do so between 5 and 8 p.m. on Friday. 
  • Holiday Craft Fair. The New Searles PTO presents its annual holiday craft fair at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the school in Nashua. More than 30 crafters will be presenting.
  • Penny Raffle. The Nashua High School Music Boosters will hosts it annual holiday craft fair and penny sale raffle from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in the cafeteria of Nashua High School South.  
  • ‘Fez’tival of Trees. The weeklong event at the Bektash Temple in Concord kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday and runs through Dec. 1. Tickets are $5. 
  • Shrek the Musical. The Peacook Players in Nashua present the final showings of “Shrek the Musical” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Saturday.  
  • Auction for Animals. The NHSPCA holds its annual event at Wentworth by the Sea in Newcastle at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
  • ‘Legally Blonde’ Continues. Bedford High School Theater has another performance of this musical at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Bedford High School.
  • ‘Spamalot’ in Concord. The Community Players of Concord present this hilarious take on “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Concord City Auditorium.

  • Art Sale. The Friends of Access Nashua host an art sale from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday in Access Nashua Studio One. Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to Nashua Access.
  • The Real Game of Thrones. Kavita Mudan Finn will be at the Nashua Public Library at 2 p.m. to talk about the show and the connection people have with history.
  • Watch Yasmin Play! Yasmin Myers, a 12-year-old violist from Amherst, will be performing with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra at 3 p.m. at the Tsai Performance Center in Boston. 
  • Donate Thanksgiving Baskets. Color My World in Bedford is collecting Thanksgiving items to help families in need on Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Church Benefit. The Congregational Church of Amherst presents “A Harvest of Song,” a benefit for the church’s restoration fund, at 4 p.m. on Sunday.  
  • Pets Can Meet Santa Too! At the Rockingham Mall in Salem at 6 p.m. on Sunday, bring your pets by to meet with Santa (note: all pets must be leashed or in a crate).
  • Chanukah at the Palace. The Palace Theatre in Manchester is holding a pre-Chanukah event at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, featuring performers and music.
