A Weekend Full of Pancakes, Performances, Pets, and Paint

There's a ton of things to do around the Granite State this weekend.

SATURDAY 

Find out what's happening in Salemwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • Take a ‘Copter Ride. Head over to the Midfield Café at Nashua Airport on Saturday morning for all-you-can-eat pancakes for just $5 and helicopter rides for $30 per person.  
  • Fishing, Hunting Expo. Rockingham Park in Salem features the Rockingham Fishing and Hunting Expo this weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for kids over 5.
  • Learn About Preschool. The MOMS Club of Concord holds a preschool fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Wesley United Methodist Church. Learn about what all the schools offer, in one setting.  
  • Meet the Dogs. Are you looking to adopt a dog? Petco in Nashua along with the North East All Retriever Rescue will hold an adoption event at 11 a.m. on Saturday. 
  • Need a Life Makeover? Nia NH and Yoga in Amherst hosts a workshop at 11 a.m. on Saturday on how you can reignite purpose and life goals. Registration is required. Tickets are $45.
  • Paint with Mom. The Studio in Bedford hosts its Paint With Me! canvas party at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The fee is $20.
  • Meet Dave Roberts. Former Boston Red Sox player Dave Roberts will make an appearance at the Arena Sports Bar in Nashua at noon on Saturday. Then, at 7 p.m., it’s ladies night with a free Men in Motion performance
  • BYOB and Paint. What fun! Art With A Splash in Nashua has a class at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Winter Dance Gala. The Dance Company hosts its dance team gala at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Amato Center in Milford. 
  • Northern Trespass. The documentary critical of the Northern Pass project will be shown in the loft of the Portsmouth Music Hall at 4 p.m. on Saturday. 
  • AARP Day with the Wildcats. The UNH Wildcats play Dartmouth at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester at 5 p.m. on Saturday and tickets are just $10 for AARP members (Regular cost: $24). 
  • How Men Think … or do they? The comedy tour makes a stop in at the Portsmouth Gas Light Co. at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Charlie Christos Performs. The Simple Gifts Coffee House in Nashua presents Charlie Christos performing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. 
  • Beatlejuice. The Beatles tribute band performs at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $25.

SUNDAY

  • Clearing Out Toxins. Concord Pilates hosts a free lecture about the subject at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.
  • Open Gym. Jump On In in Portsmouth has open gym fun at 3 p.m. on Sunday.  
  • Relay for Life. Greater Exeter kicks off its Finish the Fight Relay for Life at The Rinks at 4 p.m. on Sunday. The event will be held in June. 
  • A Rose in Winter. The New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus performs at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Concord at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets from the cancelled Dec. 14, 2013, performance will be honored. 
  • Relax and Recharge. A Sunday night yoga class in Nashua at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday might just be the thing you need before the beginning of the week. Three classes are $30.
