Rye Defeats Salem 19-7

Bats come alive in deciding game of the NH Little League state championship.

Rye defeated Salem 19-7 in the rubber match of the New Hampshire Little League 11/12 state championship July 24, earning the right to move on to regional play at Bristol, Conn.

The first two games between the teams were much closer. The Salem All-Stars won the first game 8-4 on July 20. Rye won 2-1 on July 21. But Rye's bats came alive in the decisive game at Manchester Central Little League's Harris Field.
