In Salem, there's Chief Wok, in Windham J Michaels, in Atkinson the country club. Before, during and after Hooter's, Salem has always been boring. Now throw in a casino and this town might become something!

Chief wok is a great place but I must agree we need a family friendly sports bar to enjoy a game. I can't think of one place to go in Salem to watch nfl playoffs , bruins or red sox. As they say the closer the better.

Murphys is a local Manch dive, not a place to go if you not a regular. Whipper snappers is a kids place like the Strange Brew is. The 99 has limited tv's and the Atkinson Country Club is awful all around. Salem almost had a sports bar, "Stevie D's", but that had a unfortunate ending. Maybe someday someone with some vision will build a real sports bar in town, of course that's if the planning board doesn't chase it away like they did to the guy with the plan for the Coca Cola plant.
