Salem High School to Make Child's Wish Come True

Six-year-old Allison will sing the National Anthem at Friday's basketball game.

Submitted by Make A Wish New Hampshire:

This Valentine’s Day, Salem High School is showing it’s love for 6-year-old Allison as they celebrate her upcoming Make-A-Wish experience.

Allison’s wish… to be a princess. Like her favorite princess, Merida, she knows about being brave. Her days are filled with doctor visits, treatment plans and uncertainty. For Allison, this event will mark a life-affirming celebration of her future.

As an honorary Salem High Blue Devil, soon to be “Princess Allison” will be singing the National Anthem at Friday's game. Throughout the game, funds will be raised to support Allison’s Make-A-Wish experience. Allison departs nine days after this celebration on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Please join us in making the entire community part of her team.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed say a wish come true can affect their health outcomes. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences strengthen the entire family.

Locally, Make-A-Wish New Hampshire was founded in 1987, serving children in every municipality in the Granite State.
