Lawrence Visits Salem for Turkey Day Showdown
Blue Devils beat the Lancers in Lawrence last year 44-38.
A new football tradition continues this Thanksgiving when the Salem Blue Devils host the Lawrence (Mass.) Lancers at Grant Field at Salem High School at 10 a.m.
Last year the Blue Devils beat the Lancers 44-38 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Lawrence on Turkey Day, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
Salem went 7-4 overall during the 2011 season, bowing out of the Division I playoffs against top-ranked Pinkerton on Nov. 12.

Lawrence finished their season 4-6 and last played on Nov. 11 in a victory over Methuen (Mass.).
Last year's game against Lawrence was the first Turkey Day contest for the Blue Devils since 1997, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
