Save the date!!!Salem NH Winter Farmers Market opens Sunday November 24

The Salem NH Farmers Market announces the opening of the winter market on Sunday, November 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The market will be open every Sunday through December 22 and then on the first and third Sunday from January through May.

The first winter market celebrates giving back and sharing autumn’s bounty with those less fortunate this Thanksgiving Holiday. The market will accept can goods, fresh produce or any item you may purchase extra at the Farmers Market and place into our boxes which will be delivered to our local food pantry for distribution.

The winter market moves indoors at Lake Street Garden Center. This season the market will be located in the new energy-efficient greenhouse, which replaces the 42-year-old structure. The Salem NH Farmers Market Board of Trustees is grateful to the Wolfe family for their continued support of the market.

This season’s market will bring over thirty vendors all of whom are the producers of the products they bring. More than five local farms will be offering a variety of greens, winter root vegetables and fruits to our community. Many of these foods are grown in heated greenhouses and some of the farms are pesticide-free.

Dairy items are plentiful and include raw milk, yogurt, cream, butter and an assortment of cheeses. Fresh beef and poultry are provided by local farmers, too. Visitors to the market will also find locally-prepared food, local honey, fresh breads, New Hampshire maple syrup, prepared dishes, fresh breads and delicious baked goods, including gluten-free items. Local artisans offer soaps, lotions, and other creative creations for your holiday giving.
