Republican 2nd District Congressional candidate Marilinda Garcia is receiving some national media attention on Wednesday, appearing on Fox News and the nationally syndicated Laura Ingraham radio show.

Garcia, of Salem, was interviewed around 8:20 a.m. by Elisabeth Hasselbeck of "Fox and Friends" as part of a new segment Hasselbeck created focusing on Millenials in politics. She appeared with two other successful young politicians and spoke about getting involved in politics at an early age.

She was also scheduled to appear on Ingraham's radio show at 9:30 a.m., discussing Obamacare with guest host Betsy McCaughey, the former lieutenant governor of New York.
