I-93 Night Lane Closure in Salem

Interstate 93 at Exit 2 in Salem will be reduced to one lane southbound as part of the project.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced that night work that is part of the Interstate 93 construction will require a southbound lane closure in the vicinity of Exit 2.

The construction work is scheduled to occur on Sunday, July 20.

It involves paving and striping on I-93 in order to move traffic over the newly constructed bridge over Pelham Road.

Traffic on I-93 will be reduced to one lane as part of the project, from about 9 p.m. to 5 a.m, from July 20 to July 21.

The work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction in the area of Exit 2 in Salem. George R. Cairns & Sons Inc., of Windham, is the general contractor.
