The Union Leader reported former Salem Zoning Board of Adjustment Chairman Ronald Giordano is scheduled to go to trial on four drug-related charges in Rockingham County Superior Court Jan. 7. A witness list has been filed by the prosecution while no pre-trial motions have been filed by the defense to this point, according to the paper.
and charged with four counts related to the sale of prescribed drugs in late December 2011. Giordano resigned from the board shortly after he was charged.
According to Superior Court indictments issued against Giordano he is alleged to have "knowingly sold a quantity of the controlled drug oxycodone to a cooperating individual working with the Salem Police Department" among other charges.
Giordano has been free on $10,000 bail since shortly after his arrest.
