$75M Project Won't Have Selectmen's Recommendation

Voters will be asked to determine the fate of a massive undertaking at town meeting in March, although selectmen say they won't put an endorsement for the work on the ballot, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

The Eagle-Tribune has reported that the board won't officially endorse the $75 million Salem High School renovation project because selectmen don't usually weigh in on school district articles and appropriations.

Chairman Everett McBride Jr. reportedly said Monday that it's "irrelevant" whether he and other board members support the project after Selectman Mike Lyons made a motion proposing the board do just that.
