Teens Arrested on Drug Charges in Salem

Five others were also arrested on various charges.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Nov. 15

  • 8 a.m.: Police received a report of a vehicle parked on Lancelot Court with its windows smashed out.
  • 10:01 a.m.: Daniel Anthony Gelardi, 28, of 11 Gordon Ave., Salem and Joseph Shamma, 27, of 49 Chappy Lane, Salem were each charged with one count of theft by deception. Gelardi was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and Shamma was released on $500 cash bail.
  • 10:11 a.m.: Police received a report of a hit-and-run accident on Keewaydin Drive.
  • 2:35 p.m.: Police received a report from a woman who said she was being harassed and threatened by an ex-boyfriend.
  • 3:01 p.m.: Police received a report of a hit-and-run accident on North Broadway.
  • 3:59 p.m.: Jean-Carlos Diaz, 24, of 550 Broadway, Apt. #305, Lawrence, MA was arrested on a warrant and charged with theft by deception and credit card fraud. Diaz was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail.
  • 4:38 p.m.: Nicolas William Caloggero, 29, of 13 Michael Circle, Apt. #0, Sandown was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.
  • 7:36 p.m.: Mark Steven Foster, 22, of 46 Derryfield Road, Apt. Right, Derry was arrested on a warrant out of Londonderry. The charge was not specified.
  • 8:58 p.m.: Wendy Boardman, 58, of 8 Candlelight Terrace, Wilder, VT was charged with willful concealment after an alleged shoplifting incident at Lord & Taylor on Rockingham Park Boulevard. She was released on $400 bail.
  • 10:58 p.m.: A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested at the Park View Inn on South Broadway and charged with marijuana possession.
