Police Still Weighing Charges in Victoria's Secret Thefts
Jennifer Santos is suspected of stealing more than $100,000 in merchandise from malls in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Salem Police are still weighing whether to bring local charges against a woman suspected of stealing more than $100,000 in Victoria's Secret and other merchandise from malls in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
"We are working with the Salem stores to determine if, how many, and what charges to bring," Salem Deputy Police Chief Shawn Patten said Tuesday. "It has been a slow process."
Jennifer Santos, 27, of 57 Cedar St., Lawrence, MA was arrested on Sept. 13 in connection with a series of shoplifting incidents at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA. She is also a suspect at several other malls, including the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem. Police believe Santos is part of an organized shoplifting ring.
Santos was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail at her arraignment last week in Massachusetts.
