Salem Fireworks Postponed Until July 5

The fireworks in Salem are now scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Salem is postponing its Fourth of July fireworks until Saturday, July 5, due to the weather forecast for Friday.

The town reports that all activities and events will remain the same.  

Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

The pre-fireworks activities schedule at Salem High School includes:

  • 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. – food concessions
  • 6 p.m. to dusk – Fire Safety Trailer Tours, by Salem Fire Department
  • 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Games
  • 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. – Entertainment
The notice on Canobie Lake Park's website on Thursday:

"Canobie Lake Park is still planning to hold our Fireworks Displays on July 3, 4 & 5 at 9:30pm. However, these displays are extremely weather dependent and may need to be cancelled with very short notice. We appreciate your cooperation and hope you have a great 4th of July!!"
