Salem Citizen Police Academy Application Process Opens

The Salem Police Department has announced the schedule and opening of the application process for the fifth annual Citizen Police Academy.

The Citizen Police Academy, made possible due to a donation from the Salem Exchange Club, is open to residents of Salem over 18 and Salem business owners.

Classes are Tuesday nights from Sept. 9 until Nov. 18. Most classes will be held at the Salem Police Department between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., with one Saturday class.

Due to limited space and demand completed application packets must be submitted no later than July 31.
