Police to Conduct DWI Checkpoint This Weekend

State Police Troop B and the Londonderry Police Department will conduct the checkpoint the weekend of July 18.

New Hampshire State Police and the Londonderry Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Londonderry.

The checkpoint was authorized by the Rockingham County Superior Court and will be conducted under guidelines from the Attorney General's Office, according to Col. Robert Quinn, State Police director, and Londonderry Police Chief William Hart.

Police said enforcing the driving while intoxicated laws is a top priority for public safety and that the sobriety checkpoint is one of the best methods to deter drunken drivers.
