Police: Men Kicked Out of Home Return to Burglarize It

Two Salem men face numerous charges after they returned to a Pattee Road home they had been "thrown" out of.

Two Salem men were charged with felonies and a variety of other offenses Wednesday afternoon after a Pattee Road resident allegedly caught them breaking into a neighboring home through a basement window.

Timothy Fitzpatrick, 22, and Paul Lagomarsino, 24, were charged with one count each of felony burglary and criminal trespassing, while Fitzpatrick was also charged with violation of parole or probation, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, according to Salem Deputy Police Chief Shawn Patten.

Patten said the neighbor alerted police at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday after noticing Fitzpatrick and Lagomarsino on the property.

Fitzpatrick was found coming out of the home through the front door when police arrived, and he caused a "brief struggle" with responding officers, according to Patten.

Lagomarsino was found on the home's back deck and was taken into custody without incident.

Patten said the suspects are "known" to the owner of the burglarized home, as the homeowner "had thrown them out of the home earlier."

"It appears they returned to the home later and broke in," said Patten.

Both men were transported to the Rockingham County House of Corrections pending an arraignment in Salem District Court.
