Police Investigating Possible Sex Assault
One man has been charged in what was likely a "prostitute/john" situation at Red Roof Inn.
The Eagle-Tribune is reporting Salem Police are investigating a possible sex assault that was reported at the Red Roof Inn early Wednesday morning and did charge one man, Raul Rivera, 48, of Salem, with criminal restraint and felonious sexual assault.
Police told the paper the validity of the claim is in question, that it appears to be a "prostitute/john situation" and the victim is now being uncooperative with authorities. The investigation is ongoing and the Eagle-Tribune reported Rivera is free on $2,500 personal recognizance.
