Police Chief: Crime on the Rise in Salem

More people are being arrested on drug and theft charges.

Salem Police say they've seen a serious uptick in crime this year, according to The Eagle-Tribune.

Police Chief Paul Donovan told the newspaper that his department is on track to make about 500 more arrests this year than in 2012. He said much of that increase is due to additional drug activity and thefts.
