Man Found Not Guilty For Dragging Officer

William Manning was alleged to have dragged an officer from his car near Canobie Lake Park two years ago.

The Union Leader reported a Rockingham County judge has found a Concord, Mass., man not guilty on a charge of felony reckless conduct stemming from an August 2010 incident where he was accused of dragging a Salem police officer from his car near Canobie Lake Park.

The paper said William Manning, 56, has been cleared following a bench trial last months. His defense tried to claim there were conflicting accounts of the interaction between Manning and the officer, the paper reported.
