K-9 'Trigger' Helps Find Missing 92-Year-Old Man

The man was missing for about five hours before officers and the K-9 team found him in the woods.

Salem Police K-9 Officer Dan Nelson and K-9 "Trigger" helped locate a 92-year-old man reported missing for five hours on June 22.

Police said William Harrison's daughter reported him missing around 12:30 p.m., and officers began searching the area around Cluff Road soon thereafter.

The K-9 team found Harrison in the woods but was unable to reach him due to the terrain.

Salem Fire responded and the man was rescued out of the woods and taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons, according to the Salem Police Department.
