Former Salem Officer Indicted on Assault Charge

Former Salem Police Officer Joseph Freda has been indicted on an assault charge by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury in connection with a driver apprehended last year on Interstate 93, the Union Leader reports.

The allegations are that the former office hit the driver in the head with a flashlight.
