2 More Arrested, Drugs and Cash Seized in Heroin Sting

Salem Police had previously announced the arrests of two other subjects as part of the multi-jurisdictional operation.

Manchester Police arrested two men on Wednesday as part of a multi-jurisdictional heroin sting involving Salem Police.

Salem Police announced Thursday that they had worked with Manchester Police detectives to take two suspects into custody in Salem for attempting to sell 50 grams of heroin to undercover officers. Leonela Delacruz, 20, and Reynaldo Dejesus-Sanchez, 32, both of Lawrence, MA were arrested for heroin sales and later transported to Rockingham County Jail pending arraignment.

Manchester Police announced Friday that as part of Wednesday's multi-jurisdictional sting operation, they also arrested Michael McManus, 34, of Manchester and charged him with one count of possession with intent to distribute and one count habitual offender, both felonies.

Detectives executed a search warrant for McManus’ home and found drug paraphernalia, marijuana and more than $1,000 cash. A  Manchester Police K-9, trained in drug detection, was able to locate the aforementioned items within the confines of the residence. Based on this, they also arrested Amanda Gurley, 24, of Manchester on one count of possession of a controlled drug.

In all, the operation yielded four arrests, approximately $2,600 worth of heroin, a small quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in cash.
