2 Arrested for Drugs, Shoplifting

The following arrest information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 3

  • 1:57 p.m.: Michael R. McCarty, 26, of 8 Birchwood Drive, Nashua was charged with willful concealment, third conviction; Janice Louise Lamattina, 42, of 2 Clocktower Place, Apt. #115, Nashua was charged with cocaine and heroin possession, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle and dealing/possessing prescription drugs. Both were arrested following a shoplifting incident at Kmart on 161 South Broadway. McCarty refused bail, and bail for Lamattina was set at $500.
  • 2:56 p.m.: A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with criminal trespass.
  • 3:42 p.m.: An motor vehicle rollover with injuries was reported at Pelham Road and Interstate 93.
  • 5:10 p.m.: A caller at Jay’s Aquatic on Lawrence Road called to speak with an officer about a customer’s car being egged.
  • 10:45 p.m.: Robert Joseph Morrissey, 27, of 223 Shannon Road, Salem was charged with possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. He was transported to Rockingham County Jail.
