Salem Haven Volunteer, 30-Year Resident Dies at 91

Mrs. Anita (Demers) Boisvert was a resident of Salem NH for over 30 years. She was the cherished wife of the late Marcel J. Boisvert. Anita passed peacefully July 15, 2013 surrounded by her children and family.

Born in Lawrence, MA on April 30, 1922, Anita was the daughter of the late Joseph Demers and Marie (Fournier) Demers. She is predeceased by her cousin and dear friend Georgette M Pennace, her brothers Rudolphe Demers, Leo Demers, and Joseph (JR) Demers. She was a caring loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Boisvert worked at Western Electric, was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Salem, NH for many years, and was a volunteer at Salem Haven Nursing Home for 12 years before her retirement.

Mrs. Boisvert enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and playing cards with friends and family. She will be sadly missed by her children Ronald R. Boisvert and his wife Sandi of Port Aransas Texas, Denis R. Boisvert and his wife Kim of Salem NH, and Donald R. Boisvert and his wife Patricia Lockwood of Hampstead, NH. She leaves a brother Alcide Demers and his wife Sandra, sisters-in-law Lynn Demers, wife of her late brother Rudolphe Demers, and Mildred Waldie, wife of the late Leo Demers.

She will be missed by her grandchildren Michelle Richards, Julie Boisvert, Melissa Marconi, Rachaell Boisvert, Scott Boisvert, Eric Boisvert, Cris Boisvert, and Faith Erdemir. She also leaves 16 great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 20th at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 19th from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
