OBITUARY: Bernice B. (Brierley) Lemieux

Bernice B. (Brierley) Lemieux age 89 of Salem, NH, died peacefully Friday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.

She was born in Methuen, MA, grew up and attended schools in North Andover, MA. She was a resident of Salem for over 60 years. 

Bernice was a homemaker. She had previously worked at Andrew Wilson in Lawrence, MA and Western Electric in North Andover. Bernice was a member of St’s Mary & Joseph Parish in Salem, where she was an active member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. Joseph School Mothers Guild and the Mary Queen of Peace Women’s Guild. She enjoyed crafts, going on trips and attending events with the seniors and the Red Hat Ladies. Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, and treasured time spent with her family, especially during the holidays.

She was predeceased by her husband John W. Lemieux Sr.

She is survived by her sons:

John W. Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Lemieux of Pelham, NH

Stephen and his wife Patricia Lemieux of Epping, NH

Grandchildren: John Lemieux III, Roberta Lemieux, Stephen Lemieux Jr., Adam Lemieux, and Kimberly Lemieux 

Great Grandchildren: LaShante, Gary, John IV., Anna, Alissa, and Ashley

A funeral Mass will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. 

Calling hours were Tuesday, Feb. 26th from 4-7 p.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
