Community Remembers Katelynn Giuffre, 2011 Salem High Grad

Visiting hours for Katelynn L. Giuffre, a 20-year-old Salem woman "full of endless joy and smiles," are Thursday, while burial is Friday.

Katelynn L. Giuffre, 20, of Salem, NH passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen. Born in Lawrence, she was raised and educated in Salem, NH and was a 2011 graduate of Salem High School. She was a member and percussionist of the High School Band as well as a bass drum player with the Salem Blue Devils Winter Percussions and the Boston University Winter Percussions. 

Katie was excited to be continuing her education at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH. 

Although her time with us was short she was able to follow her deep love of travel going to places as far as Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Germany. Her most precious friend was her black lab, Nikita. 

Full of endless joy and smiles, Katie made a great impression with every life that she touched. She had a deep love for her two sisters and brother; she will forever be their Sunshine. The closeness of the four siblings will live on always. She was loved by so many; her family, her friends especially her lifelong friend, Michael Dunn. 

Katelynn is survived by her parents, Raymond A., Jr. and Cindyann M. (Trautmann) Giuffre of Salem, NH; her siblings Raymond J,. Raelynn J., and Kristen L. Giuffre all of Salem, NH and her paternal grandparents, Raymond A. and Louise Giuffre of Salem, NH and Janice Welker of Georgia. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, William and Leda Trautmann and Susan Tucker. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. By the request of the family, funeral services will be private on Friday. Memorial donations may be made in Katelynn’s memory to Salem High School Marching Band.
