Shannon Bettencourt is serious about protecting the taxpayer and I am proud to support her candidacy for the Budget Committee.

When Shannon asked me for my support, I asked her the tough questions on issues in Salem. She was unflappable and gave thoughtful, detailed answers to policy questions. This is especially so with regards to keeping Salem affordable. This is an extraordinarily intelligent woman who is ready to bring taxes under control and tackle Salem’s 6.9% unemployment rate.

While she will ensure the proper and responsible management of the public’s finances, what I like best about Shannon is her unfailing dedication to making government work fairly. She has a wonderful sense of right and wrong and fairness. She sticks up for what is right and gets things done; politely, fairly, openly and efficiently.
