Virtual Turkey Drive Puts the 'Giving' in Thanksgiving

Kevin Willett has started a Facebook turkey drive meant to encourage others to help boost donations during the season of giving.

Kevin Willett is into networking as a way to connect people to others within various business and arts sectors that don't normally intersect.

Now, Willett, founder of the Friends of Kevin, is hoping to leverage that same kind of networking to mount what he's calling the World's Largest Virtual Turkey Drive via Facebook.

But the self-proclaimed Chief Networking Officer needs your help.

As posted on Facebook by Willett:

"I have been seeing that many food pantries and food banks have a tremendous need for Turkeys for Thanksgiving so I decided to try to help.

1. Please like and share the page.

2. Purchase a turkey and take a picture of yourself donating the turkey to your local food bank or food pantry.

3. Post the picture on the Facebook Page.

I will then count the number of pictures to determine how many turkeys we collected. Pretty simple right?

If you are a non profit who needs turkeys please post your information on the page so my friends know how to find you. All I ask is that you share the page on your wall to help us raise awareness of our project."
