Hill Jock House
1756:
  The Hill Jock House, currently
located at 105 Garrison Rd., was originally built at 155 Boston Rd. by Jonathan
Parker.  In recent years the house fell
into disrepair and the owner offered it free of charge to anyone who would move
it.  The Garrison House Organization
moved it onto their land in March of 2004, made extensive repairs, and use it
for social events.  On Oct. 5 & 6 you
can buy tour tickets, inspect the numerous raffle prizes then enjoy a
delightful tea at the Hill Jock House.

Red Wing Farm AKA
Hildreth-Robbins Farm 1730’s
:  The
house is located at 19 Maple Rd.  It was
built by Richard Hildreth.  His daughter
married John Robbins and they sold the house in 1776.  The house was sold numerous times.  Restoration work was done in 1953 and in 1959
and the house was renamed Red Wing Farm.
In 2002 it was sold to the town of Chelmsford and the land was divided
into two lots.  1.31 acres was left with
the house and sold to a private owner and 12.7 acres will remain as town conservation
land.  Today the land has a walking trail
and a butterfly garden established by the Chelmsford Garden Club.  Theme: An Early American Thanksgiving

Barrett Byam Home
1767
: The house is located at 40 Byam Rd. and was built by Thomas Barrett
with a fireplace in every room. You can see the cooking utensils used to cook
in an open fireplace. There is an extensive collection of earthenware,
woodenware and tin on display. Today the home is operated by the Historical
Society and used for educational and social events. Theme: A Colonial Wedding

J. S. Spaulding
House 1780
:  The Colonial house at
109 Billerica Rd. is located at the junction of Billerica Rd. and Golden Cove
Road and Middlesex Turnpike and  took
traffic from Boston to Concord, NH.  In
1816 Joseph Manning was keeping a successful tavern in the house and then built
another tavern across the street. Unfortunately the opening of the Boston and
Lowell railroad in 1835 took away much of the trade from the turnpike and the
taverns.  Theme:  Journey’s Rest.

Pellegrini House,
1926:
The elegant Colonial is located at 29 Bartlett St.  It has beautifully appointed moldings and
gracious size rooms.  Custom murals have
recently been painted by a local artist.
A “Carriage House” style garage was added four years ago.  The addition includes a family room with
vaulted ceilings and a State of the Art Kitchen that overlooks tiered gardens
and patios. The basement includes a wine cellar and a “man cave”.  The attic has a “Secret Garden” guest room
and built-in closets labeled “furs”.  The
gardens are extensive and there is a formal koi pond and fountain believed to
have been built in the 1940’s. Theme: Company is Coming
