Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown will be the keynote speaker at a "Restoring Trust in Government" dinner Aug. 9 at the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge in Salem.
State Rep. Joe Sweeney, R-Salem, announced the event tonight. Brown, who has a second home in Rye, N.H., has spoken at a handful of events this spring in the Granite State. The Republican from Wrentham, Mass., told the press he wouldn't rule anything out in his political future, including a run for office in New Hampshire.
