First Annual Magickal Marketplace a Success!
Last week heralded the first annual Magical Market place and Psychic Fair, held at the Mason's Lodge on Main Street. All monies and food raised were donated to Rockingham Community Action.
While many may not have been aware of it, last week heralded the first annual Magickal Market place and Psychic Fair, held at the Mason's Lodge on Main Street. A frequent site for Psychic Fairs in the past, the upstairs hall was packed all day Saturday by a throng of visitors, not to mention vendors, workshops, and musical guests. The downstairs area hosted a number of card readers and other diviners, all doing a brisk business.
Vendors included The Haunted Wood (woodcrafts), MoonDragon Designs (handcrafts), Antika Nueva (jewelry and skincare), and Divine Inspirations (Native American flutes and crafts). Also present were representatives from A Sacred Place, a non-profit ritual event site in Canaan, N.H., and The Temple of Witchcraft, a non-profit religious organization that frequently holds events at the hall.
Musical guests included the lovely Jenna Green, the band Featherscale, Chris Lafond on the harp, and the Windbourne Duo, all of whom made the day a very special event.

At the end of the day, several boxes of foodgoods had been collected and $258 raised. Both food and money were donated to Rockingham Community Action on Lawrence Road.
The event was a huge success and plans are in the works to hold the event again next year, though perhaps at a larger venue in town. The eventholders would like to extend their thanks to everyone who attended and invite anyone interested in more information to check them out on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/157597417682396/
