New Hampshire Liquor Commission Launches 'In the Mix Kitchen Series'

The NH Liquor Commission is encouraging consumers to get creative when pairing wine, spirits and food.

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) is encouraging consumers to get creative when pairing wine, spirits and food by launching the “In the Mix Kitchen Series” at the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets’ superstore at 25 Coliseum Ave. in Nashua. Starting Nov. 3 and continuing through April, restaurants and wine and spirits experts from across the state will entertain, educate, and please customers’ taste buds.

Each Saturday, from noon to 2 p.m., New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet customers will enjoy a specialty dish prepared by one of New Hampshire’s finest restaurants, enhanced by perfectly paired wines and spirits. Chefs will share their culinary secrets and recipes to help attendees build confidence in their ability to get creative with food. Wine experts and mixologists will provide valuable guidance identifying the ideal wine or spirit for every dish and occasion. Consumers will walk away with enhanced knowledge, same-day savings on select wines and spirits and in some cases, special offers from featured restaurants.

“The goal of the In the Mix Kitchen Series is to inspire consumers to explore a variety of new and creative options for mixing, food, wine and spirits,” said New Hampshire Liquor Commission Chairman Joseph W. Mollica.  “Enlisting the help of New Hampshire’s finest chefs and wine and spirit experts through a fun and informative program is a fantastic way to engage consumers, introduce them to new products and support sales.”

The “In the Mix Kitchen Series” kicks off with delicious food prepared by Napa East Wine Lounge & Shop paired with wines from Martignetti Companies of New Hampshire.  All events will be held at the flagship New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet on Coliseum Avenue in Nashua which features a new, state-of-the-art kitchen and serves more than 6,000 customers per week.

While the primary emphasis is on the consumer, industry relations are also as important to the series’ mission.  “The New Hampshire Liquor Commission’s continued success is attributed to close working relationships with wine and spirit industry members and restaurants throughout the state,” said Mollica. “The In the Mix Kitchen Series will further strengthen those bonds.”
