Forty years ago today, the Supreme Court rendered its decision on Roe v. Wade, which legalized the practice of abortion in our country. Hopefully, one day this decision will be overturned and this practice of taking innocent human life will be unthinkable to all.
Since this decision, more than 55 million unborn children have suffered under the hand of abortion.
Cornerstone Executive Director Ashley Pratte said, “We must change the conversation regarding abortion here in our country from the legality of abortion to how utterly unthinkable this practice is. In today’s society, no mother should ever feel as though abortion is her only option, women should feel empowered to choose life. This will only happen once our society cherishes life rather than believing it to be expendable.”
The men who drafted our Constitution believed that everyone should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are not just words,
they are the foundation of our society, words that we should honor. No matter how big or how small every life is precious and is granted unalienable rights.
