Salemfest 2012 Planning Meeting

All non-profit charitable organizations in Salem, NH who want to participate in Salemfest 2012 need to register a representative to the first planning meeting Tuesday, May 22.  Sign them up by phone at 603-818-1614.  Salemfest started in 2004, so this is its ninth year.

Organizations must be represented at the meeting in order to be in the flyer that goes to all 1st - 8th grade students in Salem, and can be picked up at Kelley Library and the Municipal Office Building for two weeks prior to the event.

Salemfest is always held the third weekend in September, which falls on the 15th and 16th this year. Organizations may display on either or both of these days, depending on their venue. The center of Salemfest is Kelley Library, and
their staff generously helps a great deal with signs, meetings, and hosting many organizations during the event.

The planning meeting is extremely valuable. Participants share their wealth of knowledge about the town regulations and Salemfest rules.  The rules aim to provide a good environment for fundraising, raising awareness about the charitable work that they do, and providing inexpensive food and fun for families of all
ages.
