NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE SENATE PRESIDENT MORSE TO SPEAK AT ACHLS GRADUATION Will Receive College's Highest Distinction

SALEM, NH, September 9, 2013 -- New Hampshire State Senate President Charles "Chuck" Morse (R-Salem) will be the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremonies forThe American College of History and Legal Studies (ACHLS), the nation’s first college dedicated exclusively to the study of history.

Senator Morse will also receive a Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa degree, the college's highest distinction.

Senator Morse represents Atkinson, Pelham, Plaistow and Salem in the N.H. State Senate. In September 2013, he was elected by his colleagues as the 128th President of the State Senate. Senator Morse was re-elected to the Senate in 2010 and 2012, having previously served from 2002-2006. He chaired the Finance Committee during three budgets, was Vice Chairman of Transportation, and has served on both the Capital Budget and the Public Affairs committees.

Senator Morse is President of Freshwater Farms & Garden Center in Atkinson and Granite Creek Farms of Brentwood. He earned his B.S. degree from Plymouth State University, and lives in Salem with his family.

The ceremony honoring the graduates will take place on September 21 at the Black Water Grill in Salem, NH.

Located in Salem, New Hampshire, The American College of History and Legal Studies (www.achls.org) was created by the Massachusetts School of Law (MSL) in Andover, MA and has the approval of the New Hampshire Higher Education Commission. ACHLS is also a novel “completion” college, offering only the junior and senior years of college.
