When Is the First Day of School in Salem?
Classes are just a week away for local students, teachers and staff.
Salem schools will resume classes on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and the district has released the bus routes.
As teachers and students get ready to go back to school, the district continues to address a variety of issues and projects, including $75 million in possible work at Salem High School, among other things.
A new website has been launched to keep locals up to date on all of the work.
Other important things you should know today:
- If you want to get a political fix Friday, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican and possible GOP candidate for president in 2016, will be in New Hampshire. Cruz is scheduled to attend a New Hampshire Republican State Committee fundraiser at 5:30 p.m.
- In case you missed it, there was a healthcare forum at a local restaurant this week.
