Salem Walmart Sex Crime Suspect Fires Lawyer
The man allegedly exposed himself to a 8-year-old girl at the Salem Walmart two years before sexually assaulting a 9 year old at the Plaistow Walmart.
A disagreement about trial strategy has led a Haverhill, Mass., man accused of exposing himself to a girl at the Salem Walmart and groping a girl at the Plaistow Walmart to fire his state-appointed and state-paid attorney, according to the Union Leader.
Ronald Beausoleil, 34, of Haverhill, Mass., is scheduled for two different trials, one for the each of the incidents, in October and November. The Union Leader has reported that Beausoleil — a Level 3 sex offender in Massachusetts due to a 1999 conviction for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age — will got to trail on the Plaistow charges starting on Oct. 21, and the Salem charges on Nov. 18.
Beausoleil was linked to a Sept. 19, 2011, indecent exposure involving an eight-year-old girl at the Salem Walmart after he was charged with the Plaistow offense on March 10.
Essex County, Mass., Superior Court documents confirm that Beausoliel was also previously convicted of attempting open and gross behavior on or about April 25, 2007.
