1 School Board Position Up For Grabs at Annual Election

The official candidate filing period for the Salem School District elections has been announced.

Superintendent of Schools, Michael W. Delahanty, has announced the dates for filing for the election of school officials for the Salem School District. 

Candidates for the position of school board member may file beginning Wednesday, January 22, 2014, through Friday, January 31, 2014. A candidate must be a registered voter in Salem and may obtain sign up papers at the Superintendent of Schools office, 38 Geremonty Drive, any work day Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or from Kelly Bryant, School District Clerk.

There is one (1) three-year school board position to be filled at the town election of Tuesday, March 11, 2014. The incumbent school board member whose term expires is Bernard H. Campbell. 

The election of the school board member is by a non-partisan ballot at the same voting time and places as town elections.

Applications for an absentee ballot may be obtained from the Town Clerk's office at the Town Office, 33 Geremonty Drive.
