Sunday in Italy is a day dedicated to food, family and friends. It is a day when businesses are closed and the focus is on Sunday lunch--il pranzo. Much more than a quick bite, this multi-course meal beginning with cured meats, cheeses, olives and marinated vegetables, followed by pasta and slow-roasted meats, and ending with dessert, is a weekly event experienced at a slow pace and focused on reconnecting with the loved ones in our lives.
This tradition still continues today in Italy and is also a cultural import for Italian-Americans. “Sundays are something very special to me and my family,” Said Joe Faro, Owner of Tuscan Kitchen, the shine to all things artesian in Salem, NH.
Faro knows a thing or two about Italian cuisine, from Italian decent and traveling there on foraging trips numerous times a near. Beyond creating Tuscan Kitchen, he also created and built the company Joseph's Gourmet Pasta & Sauces and sold it to NESTLÉ® in his first life before starting the Tuscan brand.
Guests that wish to have the Pranzo experience simply need to come to Tuscan Kitchen on Sundays from 12:00PM – 4:00PM and for $28.00per person they will be treated to a multi-course Italian feast.

This restaurant offers artisanal Italian dishes. Everything served is prepared in-house, using only fresh ingredients and regional recipes. Diners can enjoy outdoor dining when the weather permits. There are function rooms to accommodate parties large and small with custom-designed menus. The wine bar is open from mid-afternoon until closing and periodically hosts wine tastings. Live entertainment is offered Thursday through Saturday evenings.
