Dr. Azar Korbey teamed up with his brother-in-law to launch docWebTRC almost seven years ago.

There's a running joke between Salem practicioner Dr. Azar Korbey and his brother-in-law John Alders that Korbey invented the Internet. Long before Korbey and Alders teamed up on a business venture that started as an idea and has since stretched across the country, Korbey was already making moves to establish the online presence of his medical practice. "I was one of the first doctors around to have a website," said Korbey. "I wanted it to be useful to the practice so it cut down on phone calls." Salem Taco Bells Giving Back to One Fund Boston Today

Today only, proceeds from two signature products will help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Taco Bell locations across New England are giving back to The One Fund Boston today, donating proceeds from the sales of two signature products, according to a report by Boston Magazine. The Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos will both be discounted 30 percent to $1 today. The limited deal will offer 100 percent of the net proceeds to the victims of the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings. Salem has two Taco Bell locations participating, one inside the Mall at Rockingham Park and one outside on 322 S. Broadway. According to the report, Taco Bell is also promoting the storewide event through social media with the Twitter hashtag #DLT4Boston

Salem resident and marketing professional Stephanie O'Shaughnessy sees an opportunity to guide local businesses lacking the resources to establish their social brand on the Internet. With the assistance of her husband David O'Shaughnessy, a web designer with over 15 years of experience, she has launched a company to help other companies succeed in a world dominated by tablets and Twitter. "We've been in the business for a long time," said Stephanie O'Shuaghnessy. "We thought -- 'why don't we put our services together and create this company. Suspicious Substance Prompts HazMat Response to Salem Business

The powdery substance turned out to be leftover residue from a previous usage overseas of a shipping container.

A suspicious substance left over in a container used overseas prompted an emergency response Thursday morning to a Salem business. Salem Fire officials joined members of Southeastern New Hampshire Hazardous Materials Mutual Aid District to respond to the scene of Nora Systems Inc. on 9 Northeastern Boulevard shortly before 10 a.m. James Stone, who serves as Regional Emergency Planning Committee (REPC) director of the HazMat unit, said that the substance previously in the container was adaptic acid, which was confirmed to be the suspicious powder.
