Women Charged with Stealing Cash, Credit Cards from Salem Home
A Florida woman and a Lowell, Mass. woman are facing numerous charges after their arrest on Monday.
Two women were arrested Monday on charges that they stole cash and credit cards from a Millville Circle residence.
Heather Middleton, 29, of Sarasota, Fla is charged with two felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of falsifying evidence, one count of attempt to commit credit card fraud and one count of criminal liability for the conduct of another. Kiow Sharpe, 29, of Lowell, Mass. is charged with two felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of attempt to commit credit card fraud, and receiving stolen property.
Middleton is being held on $15,000 bail, and Sharpe on $5,000 bail at the Rockingham County Jail.
According to Salem Police, they received a call at 8:55 a.m. Monday from a resident at 25 Millville Circle reporting that two women had just fled his house in a small car after entering his home and stealing cash and credit cards.
Within 15 minutes of that call, Salem Police located the vehicle on North Broadway in the area of the Salem Depot. Police said they were able to determine that the two women in the car had made several stops at ATMs and a convenience store where they made cash withdrawals and purchases totaling $1,800. Police recovered $1,500 in cash, two credit cards, six personal checks and an unspecified number of cigarette cartons. Middleton and Sharpe were taken into custody without incident.
Police said they are still investigating the nature of the relationship between the suspects and the victim.
