Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which marks the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1929, but his birthday is celebrated on the a Monday so workers will get a three-day holiday.

Here's a list of what's open and closed today for the holiday:

Banks: Most banks are closed on Monday. Check with your particular branch.

Businesses: Some businesses could choose to close Monday. Please call ahead before heading out to shop.

Town Offices: Town Hall is closed today. The Selectmen are also not scheduled to meet again until Jan. 28.

DMV: All New Hampshire DMV offices, including the office in Salem, are closed today.

Transfer Station: The station is closed as per the normal operating schedule

Kelley Library: The Kelley Library is closed today.

Mall: The Mall at Rockingham Park is open today.
